AN IDEAL CITIZEN or YOUR IDEAL OF A CULTURED MAN

Citizen is a native¹ or national of a state who has certain rights to enjoy and duties to perform.  An ideal Citizen is one who is a aware of his rights and is always sincere in discharging² his duties. At the time of crisis ³, an ideal citizen not merely attends to his duties but goes beyond it and is ready to sacrifice everything to avert⁴ the crisis.  An ideal citizen has many other qualities as well. 

An ideal citizen always loyal to his country.  In ordinary conditions every citizen.  Loves ❤️ his country.  But an ideal citizen is prepared to sacrifice everything for his country at the time of national crisis or danger.  He leaves behind his selfish motives and is ready even to die for his country. 

An ideal citizen always thinks of the progress and prosperity of his country.  He knows well that the contribution of every citizen has equal importance.  So he is always ready to extend the contribution he can make.  The  progress and prosperity of his country is above all for him.

An ideal citizen has a great respect for the laws of the society.  He knows well that he is a social animal and he cannot live without society.  So he respects every member of the society and his rights.  He is never involved in antisocial activities.  He is always alert ⚠️ for promoting the welfare of the society.  He makes friendly relations especially with his next door neighbours. He does what society wants from him.

An ideal citizen takes keen interest in national affairs.  He realizes the value and uses it for the sake of country. He is not misguided by the allurements⁵ and false promises made by different political leaders. But he selects the able candidate out of all and tries to make him victorious. If all the citizens think in this way, a good and stable government will be formed. 

The future of a country or society depends upon it's citizens. If the citizens are good, the society will be good and the country will prosper. So to be an ideal citizen of our country, everyone of us should cultivate noble qualities, self-control, sympathy and love ❤️ for others and whatever else is needed.
